Fighting Legal and Moral Abuse in our Society

Abuse comes in many forms and from many places. A woman abused by her husband or boyfriend is likely to suffer further abuse from the legal system she turns to for help. Then, sometimes, the source of abuse can be next door, from a neighbor, or in the 21st century, from the internet; as we saw in a well publicized case of the suicide of a young girl being harassed by a grown woman masquerading as a teenage boy. 

Abuse of any kind can be stressful and even life-threatening, yet often, there are few options for help. It's a sad fact that many of the administrators of our justice system have become so overwhelmed with corruption, or just a mere disregard for the laws of our land, that it takes organizations like CALMA to provide support and guidance.  It's also disheartening that our laws and the legal system are abused repeatedly by others to such a degree that it is putting a huge waste and strain on our tax dollars.

It is vital for us all to stand up and fight for justice that is often evasive and difficult to find. No one person can do it all, but many people working together can accomplish changes in our system to attain the vision of our Founding Fathers: A system of Freedom, Justice and Liberty for all.  This vision is not a responsibility of government alone, but of all citizens in a free society.
